The Carers Service Provider Network (Moray) is made up of the key agencies in Moray who provide support to unpaid Carers. It was established in 2010 to ensure that all agencies work together collectively to provide co-ordinated services to unpaid Carers throughout Moray.
Members are:
- Quarriers Carer Support Service (Moray)
- Alzheimer Scotland (Moray)
- Moray Council
- Crossroads Caring Scotland Moray
- Healthpoint
- Short Breaks Bureau
- Advocacy North East (Moray)
The network is facilitated by Moray Council's Carers Strategy and Development Officer.
Current Projects
After the launch of the Carers Pack providing information on local services, money matters, useful contacts and so on in February 2012, the next project is the development of a Carers Card, which will have a dual purpose. It will act as:
- an emergency card - if you have an accident the emergency services, knowing you have caring responsibilities, will make contact with an identified person
- a discount card for local businesses
